Change Your Media Diet

The nationalistic surge in the United States took the media hostage. Now the media suffers from Stockholm Syndrome along with the conscience of half the country. Think about this: the Chicago Tribune despite detailing the failures of the Bush Administration for the last four years finally endorsed him before the Nov. 2nd election. This despite the fact that an overwhelming majority of Illinois residents rejected him as a worthy leader. It shows you quite clearly that the Media, the Judiciary, and the Executive Branch of the United States have become detached from the lives of at least half its citizens. And yet, people seem to think democracy is thriving....
I'm keeping the banter short and packing this blog with links to counter the effect of the impotent media who have become blatantly obsessed with their own survival and interest and whose primary goal is commercial success. The Fourth Estate is now under new ownership, and it likes to be ordered around. To the weak journalists, timid reporters and biased media right and left combined I have nothing more to say than this: credibility was your currency; now you are nothing more than bankrupt phantasms of a beautiful idea hanging on to your egos for comfort. We know who you are.
A new site on the web that apologizes for electing Bush.
Scientists against Bush.
Bill Frist shows us how a real democracy works.
And an article from Foreign Policy in Review on what the next four years may be like.
And here is an article on the CIA whistle-blower who is calling for a debate on U.S. policies.
Another article on a gathering storm in the CIA that is likely to blow soon.
